Student Accounts

Students may access the following VCCS applications from a single log in to My VCCS:

  • Email - for students to use for all private communication with instructors and other students.
  • Blackboard - for students to view and complete most course activities for courses instructors have added to Blackboard.
  • Student Information System (SIS) - allows students to access their student records
Your User Name and Password

 To look up your username (login ID) go to the My VCCS site . Select the New to your college? Look up your username and set your password link.

 
Logging On
Log on to Blackboard,SIS,and VCCS Email using the instructions below. Log on to VIVA : http://www.viva.lib.va.us Once you go to each site, it is recommended that you create a bookmark (favorite) in your browser so that you won't need to return to this page in the future. It is also recommended that you bookmark the VCCS Help site for Blackboard: http://bbhelp.vccs.edu
 
Note: If you are using AOL you must read this.

Logging onto Blackboard, SIS, and email

Step 1:  Go to http://my.vccs.edu

Step 2:  Enter your username and password and select the login button.

Step 3:  Entering a valid username and password will present the My VCCS Welcome screen. Listed under the My Tools section are links to Blackboard, SIS, and email.   Select the link for the desired application. No additional log in is required.

Step 4:  Selecting one of the application links (Blackboard, SIS, or email) will open the application in a new window. To exit and application, log out of the application and   then close the window.

 
 

Logging onto VIVA

Step 1:  Go to http://www.viva.lib.va.us

Step 2:  Type in your username and password
