Question: I am taking a Blackboard course and the course page is not updating to show any new files that I have been added.


Answer: This problem is commonly seen with students that are using Internet Explorer. A simple editing one of the browser settings will fix the problem.

At the top of Internet Explorer is a list of menu items; the fourth one from the left is "Tools".
**Click on "Tools", a new menu will appear.

**Click on "Internet Options", in the middle of the new menu that just appeared is "Temporary Internet files".

**Click on "settings" that is right under Temporary Internet files.

**Under "Check for newer versions of stored pages" click on "Every visit to the page"

This change will cause Internet Explorer to check to see if a web page has been updated since the last time that you visited it.
