Exporting Your Gradebook
It is recommended that you back up (export) your gradebook weekly and after testing. You should also archive your course. (An archive does not include your gradebook.)

1. Logon to Blackboard and navigate to the course from which you are exporting. Click on CONTROL PANEL.

2. Click on ONLINE GRADEBOOK.

3. Click on EXPORT GRADEBOOK

Assessment Control Panel
Arrow

 4. Follow the on screen directions copied below to download the file to your computer. Unlike the course archive, you can open and view the gradebook offline using Microsoft Excel or another spreadsheet program.

The exported gradebook has been saved according to the sorting and filtering options on the Spreadsheet View. To download the file to your computer, follow the instructions below.
  1. To save the file to a PC, right-click on "Save Exported Gradebook", and select "Save link as ...."(Netscape) or "Save target as ..." (Internet Explorer).
  2. Choose the directory in which to save the file.
  3. After saving the file, open Microsoft Excel or a similar program, and go to the File menu. Select Open. On a Macintosh, this may be the only way to open the file, as the system may not automatically associate the saved file with Excel.
  4. Locate the directory where the file is saved and double-click the filename (the file is named gradebook.csv by dafault.)
